I have always loved working with children and have found that children respond extremely well to me. This impacted my decision to attend Lesley University, where I majored in Child Studies. I strongly believe that children deserve a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment to grow within. I have had experience working in a classroom with children at an after school program, as a dance teacher, babysitter, and Camp Counselor. I believe that children deserve to be looked after in a fun and attentive environment. My academic background provided me with classes such as Child Development, Peace Games, and Child Psychology, all of which have helped me to understand the needs of children and their stages of development. However, I also grew up in a large extended family. From a very young age, I have been babysitting children ranging in ages from infancy to teenagers. I believe strongly in child rights, but I also believe in honoring the values established by the parents and how they believe their household should be conducted.
