Hi, my name is Sadie G. and I am currently a senior at the University of New England. I am student teaching in a kindergarten classroom this semester and I absolutely love it! I will graduate in May with a teaching certification in Maine. I grew up in Acton, Massachusetts, a small town outside of Boston. I adore children and have been babysitting since I was 14-years-old. Since the summer of 2009 I spent my time nannying for two families. One family with three children and the other with four, all under the age of eight. I definitely had my hands full, but I enjoyed every minute of it. I babysit children of all ages. It is important for me to gain a relationship with the children I babysit because it is more than just a job to me. In addition to being a nanny, every summer I used to run a small camp with my friend for one week. It consisted of 25 girls, ages 4-6. It was the highlight of my summer. On the side, during high school, I worked at my father's restaurant. I have a strong work ethic and love to interact with people. Seeing I will be graduating in May and moving back home, I am in search of a job. Ultimately, I have plans to move somewhere warmer and teach kindergarten but in order to have this opportunity I plan to nanny first.
