My name is Ruth. I was born in the beautiful island of Haiti. I came to the United States at age 15 and made this land my home. I have two wonderful daughters; a 7-year-old and an 18-year-old, who started college this year. In addition, I am fluent in two languages; English and French. At age 15, I had my first child care job and I continued caring for different family's children. I took care of them at my home and in their home. My longest child care experience was 5 years taking care of my cousin's children from ages 2 and 3 until they went off to school.
For two years I worked in the post-partum room at Saint Luke Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. There I attended newborns, bathing them, feeding them, and providing them with the care they needed. Here in Raleigh, I worked with a newborn and a 13-year-old teenager for around 4 years; and for about one year I worked in the aftercare program at ACA Academy. I have over 10 years of childcare experience and I have enjoyed it very much. I am nurturing, responsible, loving, and a family person. I am looking for a full time permanent position and would like to find a family that welcomes me as part of the family. I am looking forward to meeting you,
