I am a widowed mother of 3 grown children & grandmother of 2. Living in a small community it is not uncommon to "adopt" some children with open arms to your home and any assistance necessary. Still today after several years, it is amazing how fondly he kids look back on this as fond memories and still maintain great relationships. I am a 20+ year 4-H leader having held several offices and clinics in working with the youth. I have also previously held offices continuously while my children were in school at their school from room mother, band parent president to steering committee officer in making recommendations to the school board. Children are the future and need to be aware of the opportunities available to them to not fall into the cracks. Although it was exhausting at times, knowing they were being productive, having fun and learning made it all worth while and a time of no regrets.
