I am currently studying Music Education at Michigan State University. Upon graduation, I will be certified to teach kindergarten through high school music. I recently complete an Elementary General Music class which also highlighted the learning philosophy and methodology of young children. I grew up as an older sister and was held responsible for my brother's well being for much of my young life. Within my college experience, I have volunteered and/or worked with children from kindergarten through high school. I love working with kids, especially in creative environments. The most important thing to me about teaching is creating a community that allows students to be themselves and find their creative niche in the least restrictive environment possible.

I am currently working as barista at Grand River Coffee, and I love the interactions I have with customers and co-workers. My schedule at the cafe is very flexible. I am often times available during weekdays and weekend nights.
