In the last few years, I have had three positions as a babysitter/nanny, whose kids ranged in age from 4-10 years. Most of that time, I have been babysitting for two little girls, ages 4 and 7. For that family, I have worked part-time and full-time during the summer. My responsibilities during the school year were picking them up from school, entertaining them, helping with homework, transporting them to and from after-school activities, preparing lunch and dinner, assisting with showers/baths and sometimes getting them to bed. I kept the kitchen clean, helped with laundry, and picked up after girls at end of day. They also have 3 dogs and 4 cats, which I fed and walked. During the summer, I did basically the same, except for school related activities. Our activities included going to the beach, pool, bowling, library, movies, arts and crafts, coloring, games, riding bikes/scooters, walking dogs, etc. I lost this position because the mom decided to leave her job to stay home with the girls. I still babysit/dog sit/house sit for them frequently. My other two positions were part-time only during the school year, and my duties were essentially the same, except for pet care. I was married to an attorney and a stay-at-home mom for our two sons in Atlanta for 21 years. I moved back to the Jax area following divorce and the boys going off to college. Because I work for supplemental income, I am very flexible. I am loyal, dependable and punctual, as my references will confirm. I do not smoke and have my own transportation. I am firm but not strict, and I like to keep things light with silliness and laughter. All of the kids whom I have kept love me and I love them. I have many drawings they have given me that reflect their affection for me.
