I have been involved with the Montessori method of teaching for the last 25 years. As a mother, I volunteered within my children's school and have worked for the last six years directly in a Montessori school. My last placement being on a 100-acre Montessori boarding school in Eastern Ohio. I worked with ages 12 to 16 as the lead residential guide. Basically, I was responsible for the care of 26 international students all who lived and attended school on the farm. The Hershey Montessori Farm School is very well known throughout the world. I worked as a child victim advocate for the "Lowcountry Children's Center" for two years and am a trained facilitator for "Darkness to Light." I have three children of my own, ages 31, 30, and 17 years of age. My youngest is now finishing a dual credit program for high school.
