My 10 nieces and nephews (and their parents) can attest to my calm, caring, loving nature and approach to children. When my niece was about 3 years old, during a babysitting weekend she looked up at me and said, "I'm going to marry you."

My favorite book is called, "How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk" by Adele Faber & Elaine Mazlish. I highly recommend this book. I do my best to follow many of its suggestions, not just with children, but also with adults.

After being in the business world for years, I am so happy to be around the young ones again as my career. I feel I have so much to offer them.

I also love dogs. My dog gets walked twice a day, and we also have play days with other dogs. He adores me and I him. I use to do a lot of volunteer work for a meditation and yoga organization until they asked me to come on staff. I was on staff for 15 years.

Presently, I'm a three day a week nanny for a three and 6-year-old. The hours of this position are temporary and will be changing soon. I wake the children, dress, feed, take and pick them up from school. After school we either play on the playground, in front of the house, or at home. I also enjoy reading, talking, and teaching them things. I feel so fortunate to nanny for these two beautiful children and I'm sorry the mother's schedule is changing.
