I have been a babysitter/nanny for about 6 years off and on. I have multiple families who I regularly babysit for, and whom I've grown very close to. I got started when parents who worked with my mother needed someone to watch their children after school. I would take them to the park, read books, and play educational games. For one summer I was a full-time nanny who would cook, clean, do laundry, take children to summer activities, and watch after pets. During the summers of 2005-2010 I was a summer recreation aide; I taught swimming, basketball, volleyball, and softball lessons to elementary aged children in large groups. I would make come up with create ways to get the children interacting with one another and interested in the task at hand. I also have taken many children/family related classes through college.
