I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (birth-grade 3) with 10+ years of childcare/teaching experience and a passion for working with children. I also have a degree in Vocal Music and enjoy harmonizing the arts and educational skills, I am often singing to and with children.
In my experience I have encountered various situations, environments, curriculum, standards and cultures. My professional training has prepared me to handle difficult situations with grace and my personal passion encourages me to continue learning, growing and expanding my knowledge.
I love teaching children while helping them discover new opportunities and experiences within a safe and loving environment. The innocence and joy that children have is precious and is something to be preserved. I believe that children are programed to learn without limitations; therefore I offer and create daily opportunities to enhance skills, gain knowledge and continue learning from and with children.
I desire a position that would allow me to use my gifts and skills for the benefit of families in our community by providing quality, consistent, loving care of children.
My community involvement includes volunteering with West Side Baptist Church 's Early Childhood Center in the two-5-year-old rooms, as well as with The Pegasus Project (Therapeutic Horseback Riding Center).
