I'm a 20-year-old college student. I came home from IU this semester to figure out what I really wanted to do with my life, and since I started nannying it made me realize how much I love working with children. I have since changed my area of study to Early Childhood Education with a minor in Psychology, Sociology, or Art. I'm not sure if I will return to school in August or later on, but I'll be here all summer indefinitely. :) I have 12 cousins who are all younger than me, so I would definitely say I have had some experience! I worked with children as a babysitter for my neighbors and family members since I was about 12. In the past summers I have life guarded and doubled as a swim instructor for young children. I believe creativity and imagination are huge parts of childhood, so I don't really encourage or suggest watching TV and playing video games as possible activities. Instead I like arts and crafts, coloring, playing outside, and reading. I have experience with horses, so I am gentle and understanding, and most importantly, patient. If you're looking for an energetic sitter for your children who will engage them in stimulating activities, I might be the sitter for you!
