Hi parents! My name is Becca, and I am a 23-year-old college student. I am originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and in 2010 moved to New York to go to attend college and experience life in an exciting new environment. My childcare experience began at 16 years old when I began working as a daycare attendant with children of ages ranging from infancy to 9 years old, the facility provided after-school care. I enjoyed my work there and stayed for 2 years until I graduated high school.

From 2007-2009 I assisted a woman who ran a licensed in-home daycare, primarily with infants and toddlers. And for 18 months prior to moving to NY, I worked for a family of three children, ages 2, 4, and 7.

Since living in Manhattan, I have worked with two families; full days with a 4-year-old and infant boys, and after-school pickups with two school-aged children, and thoroughly enjoyed each of them. And while I am disappointed that my school schedule does not suit their needs this year, I am excited to pursue a new relationship with another family this school year. :)

I'm the youngest of two and as a child I had always wanted a younger sibling, so caring for children is something I enjoyed from an early age and it has come natural to me. And while it is challenging, it is also incredibly fulfilling!
