My past child care experience includes watching different families with kids ranging from the age of newborn to 16 years of age. I have been watching children since the age of 14. In high school, I took a child development class, where I would go into the school day care and watch the kids there. I would have to create a project for them to work on, and then we would have to help them do the project and explain to them how to make it. In that time, we would become the teachers for the children. I love to be around children, and watching them grow and learn about new things. Since I graduated from high school, I have been watching different families full time. They have kids ranging from age 2 to 9. I work five days a week, starting at 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. or later, depending on their schedules. A typical day would include getting the children up in the morning, feeding them breakfast, packing their lunches and backpacks, and getting them off to school. I make sure that they brush their hair and teeth and get them dressed with the right attire for that day. When they come home from school, I make sure that they do their homework and eat dinner. I have only done home day care, where I would drive to the house and do everything that they would need me to, such as drive the kids to school or the doctor's office. I have never had a problem with watching any of the kids, getting them to where they will have to be, and what they will have to do.
