Hi! My name is Rebecca Martinez, I'm a college student looking for an afternoon or weekend job as a nanny. I grew up as the oldest in a family of six, which sparked my interest in working with kids. Since then, I have worked with numerous families as a sitter and tutor, which I believe has given me an edge as a nanny. I have worked with kids ages ranging from toddlers in preschool to high schooler's, and have tutored in elementary school through high school as well. I have also volunteered at a local Montessori elementary school, which has taught me how to communicate effectively with children, particularly in a school setting. I'm a college student majoring in Biopsychology, with an emphasis on the psychological development of children. The classes I have taken have really opened my eyes to another side of working with kids; although I have always enjoyed working with kids, studying child development has helped me understand and appreciate how amazing the mind of a child really is.
