Hello, I am 23-year-old senior at Northeastern. From early 2005 to June 2006, I was the full time baby-sitter to my 10-year-old neighbor. I would walk home with her from school, help her with her homework and when her parents got home late, make her dinner. Shortly after meeting her, I met her two cousins ages 7 and 4) and during the time I watched one little girl, I would often watch the other two on the weekends. Over the summer of 2006, a family with two little girls ages 10 and 7, started coming to my church and after getting to know the family, her parents asked me to baby-sit the girls. I watched them over most of the summer of 2006. One girl had recently gone into remission of bone cancer and while she was a very energetic girl, she was rather fragile so I had to especially careful with her. Another family that went to my church had a little boy who is autistic. Over most of the school year of 2006-2007, I would watch him who was 9 at the time, after school. He was a very sweet boy and while he could be a challenge to work with, it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
