My most recent position was in a classroom that has both infants and toddlers together.
The Philosophy of the teachers in my ECE classes was based on Reggio Emilia, and my service learning has been in a preschool based on Reggio Emilia. This is a beautiful Early Childhood Philosophy The Infant/Toddler classes focused on the work of Magda Gerber. Her philosophy emphasized love and respect. Always, always, the children I have cared for really loved me. I think it is a joyful experience to work with infants or young children.
The children I have worked with have really loved me, and one parent said I was the best with her daughters of anyone she had aver seen. I actually enjoy diapering, potty training, and all the routine care-giving activities that can become beautiful moments for affection and care. Housework is fine and great.
