I am a senior psychology major at Saint Anselm College and I am focusing my studies and further education plans on Autism Studies. I have worked for the last two summers as an intern (research assistant, teacher's assistant) at a local residential program for children with low functioning autism. I also have had very extensive training in Applied Behavior Analysis, which was provided to me by my most recent employer, the parents of a high-functioning Autistic kindergartener. I worked as his paraprofessional aide for the past school year. In that time, I learned how to develop and implement an individual education plan for the little boy. He made absolutely astounding strides socially, academically, and communicatively. He even made his first best friend and was awarded a solo in his graduation ceremony. I'm so proud of him and would love to have another experience like that with another child! I can assure you I can make the most out of being a babysitter and an aide for your child. :)
