I am the oldest of four children and as such I first began changing diapers and other small child care tasks at about 5 years old. I have been baby-sitting since I was 12. My experience is varied, I have either worked or volunteered in nurseries, home-day cares, preschools, and as a nanny/baby sitter. I took college level child care classes in high school. I love children and I love feeling like I am doing something that has a lasting effect on someone's life. I currently run a home daycare. I watch two little girls and a baby boy full-time (7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.), and other children off and on if my friends need back-up childcare. I don't have the children watch very much TV, and feed them healthy meals. I have been watching kids at my home for over two years now, and really enjoy it. I occasionally watch older children, but they are pretty bored with the "baby toys". Although care. com lists an hourly rate, I actually have a monthly flat rate ($450 for full time). I provide meals (breakfast and lunch) but the parents bring juice and milk for the kids to drink, as well as other food sometimes.

Right now I watch three children, but at the end of April the mom of two of the children is going to quit work to stay home with the kids, so I am looking for another child to watch.
