My most valuable childcare experience is when I worked in South America as an English teacher. I had my own classroom and was responsible for planning my own lessons and teaching the classes independently to children, ages 4 to 12. Similarly, I have worked as a Spanish assistant teacher at a local elementary school and as an after school tutor to children with learning disabilities. In addition, I have had an internship at a center for divorce and separation with the younger elementary school age group where I was able to interact and help children whose families were going through transition. Finally, I have had a great deal of experience babysitting. I have babysat children, ages 3 months to 10 years old. Most recently I cared for a 3-year-old and a 5-year-old while away at college in Spain. I was responsible for feeding, clothing, and teaching them English.
