Looking for someone to care for your children? To clean and organize your house? To tend to your garden? To run errands? Perhaps I can be that person.
My name is Rachel. I am a 22-year-old woman living in South Minneapolis. I am a nanny, a birth doula, a musician, and a soon to be RN student. I would consider myself to be a natural born caregiver, but I find that working with children is my favorite because it is simply the most fun. I have 5 years of paid experience and many years of volunteer experience with children aged 6 months to 12 years. I have had the wonderful opportunity to be with children from infancy into age 5. Currently I work with one little boy, age 16 months, a few hours a week.
My childcare style is active and engaging. I do my best to understand the child's perspective at all times, as this allows for better communication and helps to foster a relationship of trust and respect between us. The goal is to learn, have fun, explore ourselves and our ever growing abilities, and to be happy, healthy, and well-rounded individuals. I like to suggest a variety of activities, such as playing games outside, art projects, singing and dancing, reading, and going on adventures to museums, parks, lakes, and other interesting places. I love nature and being outside best, when it is possible.
