I recently finished a graduate degree in Fine Art. Needless to say, if you have curious, creative kids, I am glad to facilitate crafts and other art projects. I am always excited to explore and learn together with the kids I work with whether at home or on a mini adventure in the city. My babysitting career began when I was 13 and I took certification courses to become an official babysitter. Since then I have looked after children often. I spent several summers working as a camp counselor and one summer I was a camp director. When I lived in Canada for two years from 2008-2010, I consistently babysat my three younger cousins, all boys who range in age from 5 to 10 years old. We would make art projects, make up games in the backyard, garden together and sometimes go for field trips. I am also experienced with and would be glad to nanny for a younger child or newborn baby. I am looking to work in a wholesome and nurturing environment in which I could help with additional support. I am a people person and I am looking for a family that is a good fit personality wise. I will be moving from Hyde Park to Pilsen in September and while I prefer to work with a family that is on the south side I am not limiting the option of a north side commute either if it's a good fit. My ideal job would be 30 hours/week with pay ranging from $15-$20/hr and travel expenses reimbursed. My schedule is flexible as my nanny job will be the bones of my scheduling structure this year. The last time I was certified for CPR was in the summer of 2010. I would be glad to get re-certified if that is a concern to you. I am glad to provide references as well.
