I've been babysitting regularly since I was 11, from infants to children of 14 years. I have had one weekend nannying position in which I took care of a 3-year-old boy. My duties in that situation mostly revolved around playing, feeding, and chauffeuring. I am very comfortable driving kids to and from swim lessons, softball practice, karate, etc. Along with the babysitting and nannying came light housework and experience making all kinds of meals. Finally, I have a significant amount of experience tutoring/teaching. I taught Pre-K and Kindergarten (mostly reading and math) at a small private school for 3 years and did tutoring there for a total of 7 years. I've been hired by several families to help their children in Latin and math. I also have taught piano to young children since I have 18 years of classical piano training.
I have just finished my sophomore year in college where I am majoring in Family and Human Services. This summer I could work in retail or Chick-Fil-A, but I'm wanting to find a full-time nanny position both to gain more experience in the field and because I thoroughly enjoy doing it. I'm looking for a great family with great kids that I can fall in love with.
