I have five years of tutoring and childcare experience with children ages 2-14 years old. Two of those years included volunteer work where I tutored, mentored, and facilitated team building exercises, after school clubs and activities, community projects and the high ropes course at a high school. Those experiences included working with both a small number to a large number of students and children at a time. I've also worked at a Zoo's spring break Zoo Camp where I facilitated animal encounters (chinchillas, snakes, skunks, rabbits, etc.) and gained experience as an animal handler and zoo camp instructor, so I am very animal friendly.
Throughout college, I've babysitting for three families with children ages 2, 5, 7, 8, and 12. My responsibilities have included, picking the children up from school, helping with homework, making sure their chores get done, bike riding, playing games and skate boarding with them, taking them to the park, making snacks and sometimes meals, walking the dogs, getting the children ready for bed (bedtime stories, acquiring blankies from the dogs, making sure baths are taken and teeth are clean), We've also worked guitar and piano lessons into rate and schedule as well.
