I have been working with children since I was 15 years old (1999). While in high school, I was a baby sitter, worked at Children's Hospital in the activity room, after-school care instructor, and camp counselor. After high school, I became a teacher-assistant in the Birmingham City School System and studied Early Childhood/Elementary Education at Miles College. I graduated with two BS degrees, one in Early Childhood/Elementary Education and the other in Child Development Education. I became a Kindergarten Teacher in 2010 and it was for an "emergency posting only" so I knew the position was not guaranteed after the time was up. Unfortunately, I was not offered a position for the new school year due to funding within the school system. So I have been patiently waiting and applying to schools. While I am looking for a Teacher Position, I decided to go back to being a sitter or nanny. I hope to meet, work, and network with great families.
