I have been blessed with a large family. I have three younger siblings and being the oldest has taught me much about being responsible and caring to my siblings and to anyone younger than me. I have done caring for little ones, elementary and in early teens through favors from church members and know friends. I had a wonderful experience living in Mexico and volunteering there at an orphanage was a rewarding experience. In the orphanage had moments the directors would be needing to go for some errands and would ask me to watch over the little and middle age children. It was a great responsibility to watch over 30 children there; however, I loved it and gained much more understanding for little ones. Over three years I was helping elementary school children at church and it was a very enjoyable experience. It may of been since these years I came to see myself as a capable person to watch over children. I have been in college helping in between my spare times as well for children in San Diego. There were times even I watched over the children I was taking care of at my home. One child had a heart surgery and I was delicate and careful to watch over. Another child was a boy close of age to be in kindergarten. He was a wonderful child and he brought much joy to me and my family when he was taken care of at my home during the weekends.
Other moments I took care of triplets and also traveled as a nanny for a group of children while there parents were attending a seminar.
I have also had the chance to caring for my grandma. She is now close to 95 years of age and for many years when my mother was not present I watched over her. She is a person that cared for me and I have learned so much from here about caring and helping others. She aspires me to always good to people. There were many opportunities caring at families homes, being once a live-in caregiver, and other times I was taking care of little ones at my home. All these experiences allowed me to understand, care, and give my heart to the ones I am to take responsibility of. It is a job I dearly was blessed during my high school and college years. Even after I graduated from college I would always be ready to help where there is need of a caregiver. Thank you and God bless.
