My child care experience began when I was in high school. In the summer I worked full time at a daycare with the 2-3s. I graduated in 2000 & moved to Gainesville to attend UF. I obtained a BS in psychology with an emphasis in child development & I participated in the work-study program at the Baby Gator Child Development & Research Ctr to accentuate my curriculum. In my final year, I worked full-time at a daycare in the1-year-old room. After I graduated, I worked as a family case manager at the Safe Children's Coalition. While at SCC, I worked with children ages 1 to 15 & my responsibilities included caring for the children that had been removed from their parents, including taking them to and from their foster homes, doctor's appointments, school, etc. After leaving SCC, I worked for an atty for 5 yrs. My son was born in Oct of 2009 & I began law school in 2010; however, I recently decided to put school on hold and return when my son is school-aged.
