I have worked with children in many different settings. I have an Associate's Degree in childcare and over 30 years of experience. I have also taken a certified nanny course. I worked in a childcare lab at a 2 year college for 12 years. I then had my own daycare home for 3 years and my last job was with Head Start in Illinois for 8 years. I love children because of their honesty and ability to look at things with wonder. I have volunteered for Special Olympics Illinois. I also did volunteer work with an organization called Eugene C. Kieffer Charitable Organization (E. C. K. C. O.). This entailed working with a team of local athletes, fund raising, and helping other charities when asked. I can provide many references upon request. My husband works at night and often long hours and sleeps in the day, therefore I am available most of the time. While I am willing to work full-time, I am also interested in working as a fill-in or back up sitter too. I am at this time looking for weekend evening work.
