I have cared for several small children. I started at 13 years old babysitting for a family friend with a toddler. I cared for him after school for 6 hours everyday, from age 6 months to 4 years old. I also occasionally babysat for a couple at my church with a 6-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl. I sat for them for two years. I was responsible for occasional transportation, preparing dinner, and putting children to bed. In, 2006 I cared for an infant from 3 weeks to 7 months, a boy. In the past year I have worked for several families on a temporary and part time basis, caring primarily for newborns and small infants. I also care for my nieces, nephews, and friends children, any chance I get! I am a trained chef, and love cooking, but I enjoy so much more, being around children and the fulfillment caring for them brings. I have found I enjoy preparing meals for families and small groups more than I ever enjoyed working in 'the business'.
