I have been babysitting since the age of 15. I started out babysitting one child for two hours a day, and gradually increased the amount of time I spent with them. Throughout my high school career, I babysat for my advisers daughter along with many other children. One of my fondest memories as a babysitter was spending the week with an 8-year-old girl while her parents were on vacation. Two summers ago, I was a camp counselor at the YMCA's Camp Chingachgook, which is a sleep away camp located in Lake George. I worked with children from ages 7 to 16. Prior the becoming a counselor, I spent a month as a counselor in training. This was a month long intensive program where we learned how to take care of all situations possible with children while away at an over night summer camp. This was a very educational and rewarding experience. From this I also am certified in CPR, lifeguarding, and babysitting. Outside of babysitting, I love to play with my younger cousins and younger neighbors. During Holidays I always take care of my younger cousins and they love spending time with me.
