I had been a stay-at-home mother and was actively involved with every stage of my son's development. I always worked in his classrooms, assisting the teachers in various programs, including art docent, tutoring and chaperoning. I was involved with the Boy Scouts as well as the music programs. I attended national and international music tours with the children. I dealt with the physical and emotional needs of the students, and I enjoyed every minute!
I have been working with families since 2010, when my son left for college. I have cared for children under 2 years to 16 years old, providing before/after-school and sick day care. Besides homework assistance and supervision of chores, I really enjoy fun time, from Legos to playing Pirates, reading time, board games, arts and crafts, and there have also been "field trips". I have provided longer days in the summer where there is swimming, museum days, outdoor and indoor play.
I have driven children to activities, including medical appointments. I am available to do whatever is necessary to assist families in managing their busy schedules.
I have a college degree, some medical background and I am CPR/First Aid certified with the American Red Cross for Pediatric/Adult.
I am very active and relate well with children of all ages. I feel that I have much to offer.
