I am a single mother of one son (35 years) and recently retired from corporate America. I am college educated and looking to enhance my retirement by providing loving care to children. I find the childcare experience much more rewarding than corporate. I regretted not having had the opportunity to be home with my own child and believe that I can make a difference for someone else who may be experiencing the same ambivalent emotions. Regretfully, I have no grandchildren at this time, whom I can spoil. So therefore the relationship can be twofold.

I have spent numerous years as a non-paid caregiver for friends and family. But the one experience that I am most grateful for is the fact that as single parent, my child had the same sitter from 6 weeks until 12 years old. And that's the kind of care and security that I would like to provide the family in my care.
