I have been caring for children on and off for the past eight or nine years. I have cared for children as young as two months of age through middle school aged children in private homes for both hours at a time through extended care over a few days. I have also worked in a day care setting with an after school program catering for K-8th grade students where I primarily cared for the younger K-2nd grade with general assistance after school with playtime, homework and also teaching weekly enrichment classes (arts and crafts, dance, cooking etc.). I enjoy working with children mostly because of their general outlooks on life and their innocent courage. I find nothing more fun and rewarding than escaping reality playing a game of dress up where all your worries go away!
