I am a 21-year-old college student studying Psychology at Salem College. I have experience babysitting a 7-year-old child every summer for 4 years. During this time I would take her to the movies, cook breakfast and lunch, and help her out with her reading and summer school assignments. More recently, I have babysat two children, ages 2.5 and 4. I would make dinner, read to them, and go through the nightly routine of bed time. During the days when I would babysit, I would spend time with imaginative playtime with them.
Throughout my study of Psychology and my internship with the juvenile detention center, I have gained a lot of knowledge about children and how they act outside of textbook routine. I have seen how important caring for them and giving them structure really is, which is why I am so willing to help out parents in need. I enjoy helping children grow and watching them develop because we, as adults, have such a big part of that.
My interests outside of school include reading and running. I love to exercise and spend time outside. I am currently studying to go to law school upon graduation at Salem, so a lot of my free time lately has been spent studying for my entrance exam. I enjoy spending time with my family and my animals. I love animals and have three dogs at home. I hope that I can help a family out!!
