I changed diapers, fed the baby with a bottle, and started solid foods and kept the baby occupied by playing with her with her toys. A year later, I started babysitting my neighbor's 9-year-old girl. I would assist her with her homework. We played games and did arts and crafts to occupy the time without the use of the television. I would serve her dinner that her family pre-made, and I would supervise her while she was getting ready for bed. I have two years of paid experience, but I have six years of babysitting experience. I volunteer to help my close friends and family when there in need of a caregiver. I believe that is the nice thing to do.
