I am going to be a sophomore at Colby-Sawyer College in the fall with a minor in child development and have worked at the daycare on campus a few times. This fall I will be taking more classes and will be spending more time in the daycare with the children. I have taken the American Red Cross babysitter course.
For the past two summers I babysat a 9-10-year-old boy 40 hours a week. During the day I would help him make breakfast and lunch, we went outside and played games and did various activities. I have also babysat for other families with children between the ages 1-10 and I have prepared meals for them, brought them out to do summer activities, and put them to bed or for a nap.
I have also volunteered at a daycare for two weeks for the past two summers and I worked mainly in the toddler room and a little bit in the nursery room.
