Give your child the gift of a quality education with a small family daycare with only 8 children 6 all day and 2 before and aftercare only. I am welcoming families of children age's one to five years. I have no infants in my program so my attention is focused on learning and fun! I have no children of my own so there is no competition for my affection and no burnout! My rates include quality care from an educated provider. My hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. flexibility of those hours are dependent on negotiation. I am directly across the street from Bart so you can commute to work with no hassle, non drivers welcomed!
My name is Ni M. and I have been a preschool teacher for over 11 years. I have left the public sector and am providing private care out of my home. I am looking to assist those individuals who seek professional child care and a quality education for their children in a smaller environment. The goal of my kindergarten readiness program is to encourage children to become independent thinkers and problem-solvers through exploration and cooperative group work. Preschool activities are offered for children, ages 2. 5-5 years old. Lessons and activities are differentiated based on the children's needs. The program's main focus is to help children develop social skills (sharing, taking turns, manners, etc.), but it also includes academics. Children will learn: letter recognition, music, phonics, number recognition (0-10), counting, 1:1 correspondence, patterns, name practice, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, colors, shapes, pre-writing skills, concepts about print, social studies and science. Children will learn through playing games, doing hands-on activities and using manipulative. Children learn best when they are having fun! I have an A. S. in Early Childhood Development with a specialization in violence intervention, a B. S. in Human Services and Management and a M. S. in Psychology.
