I am the oldest of four children. I also have a big family and so I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old. When I was 13-15 I held my own summer daycare at my house where I watched 7-8 kids everyday 8-4 p.m. for the summer. The ages ranged from 6-13 years old. When I was a sophomore in college I babysat for two families. One family had a 6-year-old boy who I also taught how to swim. The other family had a 10-year-old girl and 13-year-old son. I babysat for the same family who had the boy and girl my junior year, as well as a family who had a 5-year-old boy and 7-year-old boy. For all the caregiver positions in college I had to get them off to school in the morning, make them breakfast, make sure they had everything they needed for school, made sure they did their chores, did homework/practice work with them, made their lunch, and sometimes I even watched them overnight if their parents went away. I also watched their dogs if they had any. I am great with kids. I am currently going into my senior year of college for special education and middle school science. I love what I am doing and cannot wait to get out there!
