I'm a friendly, warm-hearted college student who loves to work with children. My major is Psychology & I'm looking forward to becoming an Elementary School Guidance Counselor or a Children's Psychologist. I love animals, playing sports and cooking. I babysat for a family of 7 for about a 4 year period throughout the summer and when needed during the school year. There were 4 children ages ranging from 1-11 years old. For this family, I would cook and keep their home tidy. I also lived two houses down from an 8-year-old boy who I would babysit about once a week for a year and a half until they unfortunately moved.
In high school, I took classes regarding infants, toddlers, and children. In fact, I helped out the high school's preschool. After this I had an internship at an elementary school in Newington, CT. I was there from 1-3:15 p.m. every day for a semester. I'm proud of the bonds I established with these children and the amount of material I taught them with my mentor.
