I come from a large family. I'm the second oldest of my nine siblings, the youngest being nine. While growing up, I was the go-to babysitter for my parents, so I have a good 15 years of experience of babysitting, entertaining, homework help, and accident prevention under my belt.

I've held a few employment positions that required me to interact with children. I was a lifeguard for three summers, two of which were at the same pool. There I was certified in CPR as well as First Aid. There I was responsible for watching over all pool patrons, the children being my first concern. Pool safety was important to me, so I was always interacting with the kids whether it was teaching them to swim, if the pool was quiet and another guard was on duty taking part in the kids pool games, or modifying their games to make them more safe.

I also worked part-time at a photography studio. There, I found dealing with the children to be the most rewarding. Seeing them go from tears to cheers over having their pictures taken, even turning the photo session into a mini play date to get the best photos.

While in high school, I took every childcare class that was offered (I actually just found my portfolio the other day). I actually began my education at East Stroudsburg University as an elementary education major before switching to communications. My babysitting education began very early on, however, when I attended a babysitter's certification course at what was then North Penn Hospital.

I'd rather interact with children than just watch them. I believe every activity can be a learning experience. I'm reliable and flexible, and I believe that the years of various child courses, interactions, and sisterly babysitting makes me an awesome candidate.
