I have been babysitting for about 11 years. Other than my experiences in babysitting, I have had a lot of training working with children in other various ways. In December 2010, I graduated from Millersville University with a BA in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. Through my courses and field placements at Millersville, I have gained the knowledge needed to care for children. Since graduation, I have been working as a day-to-day substitute teacher in three different public school districts teaching students in grades Pre-k through 6th. Currently, I hold an extended position as a reading specialist. The past 4 summers, I have worked at a summer camp through the YMCA. This job included planning activities for students entering Kindergarten and 1st grade.

I have always had a strong passion for working with children. I've always known being a teacher would be my future. In my opinion, working with children is the best profession a person could choose to pursue. It's a joy to listen to their stories, watch their excitement about all the little things in life, and watch them grow and learn.
