My entire life I have loved caring for children. When I was 14, I first began babysitting my 2 younger cousins, then 3 and 5. I have always been extremely mature and loving. Over the past 9 years I have watched numerous children for family friends and neighbors. I have watched up to three children at a time ranging from the ages of newborn to 12 years old. In my senior year of high school, I helped run a cooperative preschool where we created lesson plans which we taught to integrate fun and learning with the 3 and 4-year-old children three days a week. When I began college I wanted to be a teacher so I took quite a few teaching classes as well as shadowed and assisted teachers in a 6th and 3rd grade classrooms. I have also been a math mentor to 2rd grade students. Although I have changed my major to business management, I still love caring for children.
