First off I will start with the fact that I have three siblings. Two are over the age of 14, but being the oldest at 20, I've taken care of them through the years after school and in the summer. My parents never put us in any kind of daycare, so when I was old enough to be home alone I sort of was the daycare. Currently I have a 2-year-old sister who I assist in caring for. I watch her when it's needed; feeding her, playing with her, giving her baths, putting her to bed, etc.

I also babysat a 4-year-old girl and 8-year-old boy that lived in my neighborhood occasionally when I was about 14. I also babysat for my mother's friend's daughter who was around 3 at the time.

My aunts and uncles would also ask me to babysit my cousins during the summer. I would spend weeks at a time at their house and watch their children during the day. My cousins are 7 and 9.

I also have experience with children in the classroom setting. My best friend and I taught preschool Sunday school all through high school for volunteer work, and it was a blast. I love everything about little kids. I feel like I am definitely still a kid at heart, and would be so happy to be getting paid to take care of children. I love having fun and making the kids happy, but at the same time am very protective and stern. Qualities that I believe make me a good caregiver.
