Let me start off by saying that I love Children! I have worked with lots of children ages newborn to 12 years of age. Starting off, in high school I volunteered many hours at a local day care center. At the day care I helped out with many different tasks when needed. Some tasks were meal-times, potty training, nap-time, story-time, recess and helping the older students with their homework. After high school I enrolled in the University of Central Missouri where I declared a major in Early Childhood Education. While enrolled at the University I worked at one of the child care centers on campus. While working there I was the infant teacher working with children 6 weeks-6 months old. I made sure I fulfilled their every need throughout the day while making sure each child was reaching their different milestones. When I was not working with the infants I was helping out in the 2 & 3-year-old classrooms. I worked there for almost a year. After leaving the University I worked at a Child Development Center as a 2-year-old teacher for four months.. I had to resign as the teacher to move here to Jefferson City to finish my education at Lincoln University. Here I am majoring in Elementary Education and my area of emphasis is in Early Childhood. I will be graduating in four semesters or less. Recently I got on board with Y-Care (an after school program through the Jefferson City Area YMCA) working with students Kindergarten to Fifth Grade. I love working and being around children, they make me very happy. I enjoy watching them learn and grow each day.
