I am majoring in Elementary Education and have a strong passion for working with children. I use to babysit for a couple in my neighborhood when I was in Junior high. After this couple no longer needed a babysitter I moved on to different types of jobs in high school not involving children. Now I am in my sophomore year of college at North Dakota State University and I decided this year that I am going to pursue my career in Elementary Education. I made this decision after working at the YMCA with children this whole year. I coached two different basketball teams. One was fourth grade and one second, which was one of the best experiences of my life. I also helped out in a program at the YMCA called wheels on wellness. This program involved me and another worker to go to an elementary school here in Fargo and pick them up on a bus and bring them back to the Y for an afternoon of activities. After a great year of awesome experience working with children I am wanting to continue my experience and gain even more knowledge this summer. I love children and I am a very compassionate person and have a lot patience that is necessary when working with children.
