Hello! My name is Natalie, and I have been babysitting for 7+ years. As a caregiver, I highly value the children I work with. I am there to spend time engaging and interacting with them, ultimately encouraging their development and growth. I pride myself in being consistent and firm in expectations. At the same time, I am always willing to be flexible and listen to the child's perspective. I also find it highly important to work in partnership with the parents and mold my care to fit their expectations and needs.

My most recent position involved a dancing 3-year-old girl and energetic, baseball-playing 9-year-old boy who I cared for part-time in the summer. Each week, I prepared fun interactive lesson plans. We did everything from making homemade marshmallows to playing indoor Olympics with scotch tape to homework. We just had a lot of summer fun! At this job, I also did light housework such as washing dishes and preparing simple meals.

Prior to my summer job, I had been babysitting on occasion for many years. When I was in Denton pursuing my undergraduate degree, I occasionally cared for a baby boy and his 3-year-old brother during the day. My responsibilities included changing diapers, bottle feeding, and sticking to a sleep routine for the baby and playing with the 3-year-old.

My first babysitting opportunity was in Granbury and involved two active boys ages 4 and 6 who I took care of on occasion until the oldest boy was 11 years old. I would usually watch them on a Friday or Saturday evening while their parents went out. Sometimes I would cook dinner. We often played outside and sometimes enjoyed a movie before bedtime readings and lights out.
