Other than various babysitting jobs, my experience working with and caring for kids begins at the age of 13 volunteering as a Junior Counselor at the Edmonds Summer Day Camp. I volunteered there for a couple of summers until I was offered a paid position as an assistant leader for a group of first and second graders. In 2008 my niece was born and I have been very active in caring for and babysitting her and I have loved every second of watching her grow and learn. She is now 4 years old and the most precious person in my life. I am also a certified nursing assistant and have been working for almost two years caring for seniors in their homes. I'm looking for something a little less mentally/emotionally/physically tolling. I enjoy my work but I miss working with kids and love making a difference in people's lives.
