I grew up in a large family and was the second oldest, with four younger siblings. At the age of 11, I became a M. Y. T (Ministry Youth Trainee) at my church where I learned how to administer lessons and participate with the children in keeping them active. I enjoyed helping the teachers in their classes and when I became old enough to have my own class I became a teacher. I also helped out in vacation Bible school every summer. I just have a passion for children. I love to see their faces light up and I like to spark their imaginations with creativity and joy for the simple things in life. I love to interact with people and I have a creative mind. I began to work at a private school for 5 1/2 years where I started off as just a daycare leader. In this position I worked with the children ages 5-11 primarily. Though the older middle and high school children would come to the elementary school for supervision at the request of their parents. As a leader and because I was there for so long, I was the one to train the other staff members at the guidance of my own supervisor. I administered rules for time with homework and play. I also presented lessons. During homework time I provided help to students struggling or just in need of basic assistance. After working there for the before and after-school daycare I was given a full-time position as not only doing that, but being the intramural sports director and campus aide. I coached different sports for the grades 3rd through 6th and scheduled and supervised the games. I did put a lot of work into that with putting teams together, teaching them the basics of the sports, and really stressing the importance of teamwork and respect for one another. I also did the summer day camp for the children where I supervised them for many hours after 2 p.m. I created activities for them to do as far as crafts, games, and being active. I love to work with children because I feel that many kids pass their childhood by so fast. I just have a desire to instill in them a creative spirit. I'm a strong individual with a passion for life and I believe that is because of my childhood and how I was raised to use my imagination. I just love children and I want to be a good role model for them. Parents who are seeking help from others, like a nanny or babysitter, are doing their best for their children, so I feel that they deserve to know that their children are in good hands and being taught strong morals and respect for others.
