I have 13 years of experience caring for children. I am 23 years old. I recently moved to Lynchburg, VA in February of 2013 from Seattle, WA by way of a small town in upstate New York. Upon my arrival, I attended and graduated with my Associate's degree and transferred to another university. I am a junior studying Communications with an emphasis in Journalism and minoring in Psychology. I took a year off from school to save money so that I can attend school again online. I will be starting back up online in May 2013. For now I am looking for nanny/babysitting jobs here in Lynchburg. I have been involved with babysitting since the age of 10. Being the oldest of nine children and having a lot of neighbors and family friends, babysitting was always available! My first summer job was in a daycare center followed by summers doing paid internships with my church's Children's Ministry. When around children, I am very outgoing and always up for safe fun! I'm not afraid to roll around and get dirty or cuddle to read a book. When dealing with children, I believe it is important to know and understand that anything you do can be fun with the right attitude and proper behaviors! I believe there is something special about children and they have great ideas and dreams. I hope to become known for my many stories about children and what they are doing with their lives. I believe you are never too young to make a difference in someone's life and to do big things. Encouraging children to follow their dreams and to be themselves is my first priority.
