When I went back to work full time about a year and a half ago and started my search for a babysitter, I had no idea I would end up with someone who feels more like a family member. The only reason we will no longer see Nancy as often is because recent changes in my work schedule allow me to spend more time at home and I do not require babysitter services like I used to. I have two young daughters (6 and 2), and they look forward to the days when they get to see Nancy. In fact, one week I picked them up from school/daycare every day, and they kept telling me how much they missed Nancy! Sometimes they even call her grandma, which makes me smile. They would not be giving her such a special title unless they cared for her and felt loved by her in return. Nancy is very reliable and responsible, always pleasant, truly cares for my children and is great at interacting with my girls. Nancy has come to my house on occasion to watch the girls when I have been out in the evening, but mostly the girls go to her house after she picks them up from school. I was not sure how well I would like that at first, since I had just imagined a babysitter would come to my house to watch the girls. But the arrangement has actually worked out very well and has given my girls a second home where they can be themselves in another safe environment. I do not plan on losing touch with Nancy and she will continue to be a part of our lives, even if it is no longer in a frequent babysitter capacity. I welcome anyone who wants to call me to discuss my recommendation further or just to ask simple care questions. As a mother, I know how scary it is to want to trust someone new to watch your precious children. Cynde
