I was nanny, tutor and house care provider for a family I love dearly for over two and a half years (plus consistent babysitter for years prior). I helped with school drop-offs / pick-ups, tutored the teenager, helped the elementary school son with homework, played with the preschooler during the day, and took them on outings. I traveled with the mother and kids when she had music tours, helped with laundry and light housework. I really became like an older sister and friend to those wild and wonderful boys.

I love the flexibility and spontaneity of being with children. They are so open, inquisitive, and true to themselves. I want to continue to be part of a positive environment for our young and growing generations. Recently I finished a year and a half of work for a family watching one little energetic toddler. I was with him from his fifth month until his 20 first months and have joyfully been around for so many important developmental milestones in his life. Our favorite activities together were reading, dancing, making forts, going to the park, outdoor adventuring and exploring, toppling block towers, and sharing the normal routines of the day. With the arrival of baby number two and a mama who put her career on pause, my full-time work with them came to a close. I currently work during the day with a sweet and spunky toddler boy who loves going to the park, splashing in the wading pool, and looking for buried treasure. I'd love to do some occasional to semi-regular date night babysitting for another easy-going, caring, creative and happily structured family around the Redmond or Woodinville area.
I believe in listening, the practice of patience, immersion and creative play, running around outdoors and soaking in the natural world, reading, good and age-appropriate boundaries for consistency that empowers youngsters, field trips, open lines of communication between parents and myself, and fostering lasting relationships.
